Hyundai Sonata Earns 5-Star Rating from the NHTSA

2015 Hyundai Sonata Debuts at New York Auto ShowWith all the exciting new technology features automakers are including in vehicles now, at the end of the day we all know that the most important feature a vehicle has to offer is its safety. Whether we’re seeing our loved ones off on a trip, sending a teen to college for the first time or getting behind the wheel ourselves, a vehicle’s safety features are crucial to ensuring a worry-free journey.  We’re proud to announce that the 2015 Hyundai Sonata has passed both its IIHS and NHTSA tests with flying colors, making it one of the safest cars you can drive!

This month, the NHTSA announced that the Hyundai Sonata received a perfect five-star overall rating in its safety tests, which include assessments in areas such as frontal and side crashes. This comes in addition to earlier test results from the IIHS, which awarded its highest honor, Top Safety Pick +, to the Sonata. It earned a 3-of-4 rating in the notoriously difficult Small Overlap Front crash test and perfect scores in every other area, making it one of the safest cars of 2014. With accolades from both groups under its belt, the 2015 Hyundai Sonata has proven to be an ideal choice for the safety-conscious consumer!

In addition to unbeatable safety scores, the 2015 Sonata offers looks, modern technology and convenient features to round out the package. Its sleek, styled exterior adds an air of refinement more pronounced than earlier models, and standard features like heated mirrors and a telescopic steering column highlight its comfort and convenience. Options include an infotainment system with mobile integration, a panoramic sunroof, adaptive cruise control, a 10-speaker premium sound system and much more.

The 2015 Hyundai Sonata has a lot to offer all around. If driving one of the safest cars on the road with a litany of features at the tips of your fingers interests you, schedule a test-drive at our Manchester, NH Hyundai dealership today!

Hyundai is Top Non-Premium Automaker in J.D. Power Owner-Satisfaction Study

Hyundai LogoJust a short month after leading all non-premium brands in J.D. Power’s Initial Quality study, Hyundai became the first non-luxury car ever to top both the IQS and APEAL surveys in the same year. While the IQS study measures the amount of problems a car-owner has with his or her new car over the first 90 days of ownership, the aptly-named APEAL study ranks overall purchase satisfaction. By topping both, Hyundai definitively proves its cars are not just well-made and built with high-quality parts, but also are a true pleasure to own.

The APEAL study — which stands for Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout — surveyed more than 86,000 people after their first 90 days of owning a vehicle and asked them to rate their satisfaction with the car across 77 categories. These ratings are interpreted into a score on a thousand-point scale, and the higher the rating, the better the reviews. Hyundai led non-luxury cars with an impressive score of 804.

As well as ranking overall brands, the APEAL study also gives satisfaction awards to individual models. The Hyundai Accent was rated the best small car, with a score of 782. The Accent sports a comfortable, roomy interior and colorful exterior, all for an incredibly affordable price, making it easy to see why so many people consider it a great buy.

If there was ever a reason to make your next car purchase at our New Hampshire Hyundai dealership, this is it! Come see for yourself exactly why Hyundai is rated so highly by so many people. Take one out for a test-drive today!

Does Your Child Own One of the IIHS Recommended Pre-Owned Cars for Teens? Buy One from AutoFair Today!

When choosing a car for a teen, the factors that go into the decision are not the same as those that go into a purchase for an adult. A great price tag, for example, generally matters more to a parent than luxury or flashiness, and good gas mileage likely outweighs the benefits of a powerful engine. But according to new research by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, most parents need to place safety higher on their list.

Car crashes are the leading cause of death among teenagers, and the IIHS has determined that parents should be paying more attention to this harsh reality when choosing vehicles for their teens. To help out, they’ve compiled their first-ever list of pre-owned vehicles that are safe for teens, and we were happy to see that many of these vehicles are available on our lots here in New Hampshire!

Below, we’ve listed the pre-owned Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Nissan and Volkswagen vehicles that were rated either best or good choices by the IIHS. Volkswagen, in particular, had a very strong performance with six models honored as best choices for teens, many of which can be found at our NH Volkswagen dealership in Nashua!
