There are buildings. There are tall buildings. There are world-famous skyscrapers. Then there is the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, India. There is no taller building on the face of the earth. So it makes sense that Ford used it to show off the 2015 Ford Mustang for the entire world to see, displaying its pride in the best-selling Mustang series and commemorating its latest Middle East and Africa business unit.
On November 19, the 2015 Mustang climbed the Burj Khalifa to much fanfare and to an action-adventure theme. An unrecognizable spy is interrupted as he scales a mountain in Arizona, instructed to travel to Dubai and get “the new Pony” to the top of the skyscraper in 36 hours. The mission culminates in the unknown agent doing some more climbing, this time rappelling down the Burj Khalifa, as the new Mustang reached the Burj Khalifa’s 112th floor. Check out the fun, heist-caper-style video of the event above!
This is the not the only time a Ford Mustang has found itself on top of a massive building. Ford first sent a Mustang to the top of the Empire State Building in 1965. To celebrate the Mustang’s 50th anniversary, the automaker placed the Mustang on the New York skyscraper a second time. This event marks the first time the stunt has been performed at the world’s tallest building. Never let it be said that Ford doesn’t like to think big!
You can see for yourself that the 2015 Ford Mustang is truly a world-class car. Test-drive it today at our Ford dealership near Bedford, NH!
